Apple delivers blowout quarter as iPhone sales surge

Buyers just can’t get enough of Apple’s gadgets. The company sold almost 11 million iPods last quarter and doubled its iPhone sales from this time last year, selling 8.8 million smartphones during the quarter ended March 27.
